"People's superstition" and death. Its investigation from present ethnological perspective

Abstract

In ethnology of death, phenomena also play a big role which in common language and in other disciplines are generally classified as superstitions and folk religion. This contribution gives an overview of ethnological research on the topic of death, in particular for the region of east Indonesia and an explanation why these terms are no longer used in ethnology.
